The Pole’s 1m16.942s effort, set in the morning, held up to the end and was four-tenths clear of Max Verstappen (who moved up the order with a late flurry of improvements on the C3 Medium compound) and Sergio Perez. Federico Basile was onsite to snap these 98 photos for your enjoyment
Motorsports is at a Major Crossroad
  by Andrew Maitland
Even though Formula 1 says it can be net carbon zero by 2030, petrol and even hybrid road cars will begin to become totally illegal all over the world as soon as 2032, thanks to over-zealous governments who care more about virtue-signaling to a growing and increasingly hysterical voter block than doing the sensible thing. And do you know what? It really could kill Formula 1 and the other forms of traditional motor racing that also still go 'broom broom'. And no matter what happens, it's going to change the racing we know and love forever. There's no doubt about that.

Kyle Busch dominates Las Vegas Truck race
Like taking candy from a baby
When Kyle Busch runs a truck race he usually wins and Friday night in Las Vegas was no different. Put Busch in one of his own Kyle Busch Motorsports trucks, and he’s all but certain to win. That’s been the case for seven straight starts in the NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series, counting Friday night’s victory in the Strat 200 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, his home track. Busch led seven times for 108 of the 134 laps in the 200-mile race. About the only difficulty he had was clearing Sheldon Creed on consecutive restarts in the final stage of the race. But five laps into a run, Busch was gone. After the last restart on Lap 96, Busch pulled out to a lead of more than 7.8 seconds over polesitter and race runner-up Johnny Sauter. His winning margin over Sauter was 5.958 seconds. The victory was Busch’s 57th, extending his own record in the series, and his second straight at LVMS.
