Jimmie Johnson not "mailing it in" in final season

Jimmie Johnson has made it official – he's hanging up his helmet after one more season chasing history. The seven-time NASCAR Cup Champion says the 2020 season will be his last in full-time competition, ending a 23-year NASCAR career that saw him rise up from a California dirt bike and off-road racer to one of the biggest superstars in NASCAR history and a future Hall-of-Famer. While it won't be the end of his racing career, it will be the end of one of the most successful teams of the last two decades.
Verstappen wins exciting Brazilian GP
  First Honda 1-2 since Senna days
Polesitter Max Verstappen drove to a convincing victory in the Brazilian GP at Interlagos outdueling Lewis Hamilton on more than one occasion for his third win of the year. Pierre Gasly held off Hamilton for 2nd who was later handed a 5-sec. penalty for spinning Alex Albon out of 2nd place with one lap to go and moved to 7th. Carlos Sainz Jr., Kimi Raikkonen and Antonio Giovinazzi rounded out the top-5 in a race that saw both Ferraris take each other out battling for the final podium position. The surprise results surely woke up the online betting community ( or “Scommesse Sportive” as the Italians say).
7-Time NASCAR Champion Jimmie Johnson to retire
  Announces 2020 Cup season will be his last
Seven-time NASCAR Cup Series Champion Jimmie Johnson announced on Wednesday that the 2020 season will be his last in full-time competition. In a video announcement on his Twitter feed, Johnson said he would be hanging up his helmet following one last season, where he hopes to go out as a champion yet again with a record-breaking eighth Cup Series title.

BMW i Andretti team gets ready for the Diriyah E-Prix
  Season 6 starts this weekend
This coming weekend, Season 6 of the ABB FIA Formula E Championship will kick off at the Diriyah E-Prix (KSA) with two races. Ahead of the race, BMW i Motorsport put together a guide, previewing the race as well as the track. For starters, the team will race in the 2019-2020 season with a new driver Maximilian Gunther (Germany) and existing driver Alexander Sims (UK).
Kyle Busch saved his best race for last

Kyle Busch had heard the question asked dozens of times throughout the 2019 Playoffs – when is he going to break back into Victory Lane? On Sunday night at Homestead-Miami Speedway, Busch had the answer, at the perfect time. Busch scored his first victory of the 10-race NASCAR post-season after beating out Martin Truex, Jr. in the Ford EcoBoost 400 to secure his second Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series title - besting Kevin Harvick and Busch’s Joe Gibbs Racing teammates Truex and Denny Hamlin.

Torrence, Hight, Enders, Hines clinch NHRA titles
At his home track, Funny Car's Robert Hight raced to his third career NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series world title and second in three years on Sunday by advancing to the final round of the 55th annual Auto Club NHRA Finals at Auto Club Raceway at Pomona. Steve Torrence (Top Fuel), Erica Enders (Pro Stock) and Andrew Hines (Pro Stock Motorcycle) also claimed world championships in their respective categories at the final race of the NHRA Mello Yello Countdown to the Championship. The race winners of the final event of the 2019 NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series season were Doug Kalitta (Top Fuel), Jack Beckman (Funny Car), Jeg Coughlin Jr. (Pro Stock) and Jianna Salinas (Pro Stock Motorcycle).
Busch holds off Truex Jr. to win race and NASCAR title

Kyle Busch, driver of the No. 18 for Joe Gibbs Racing, won the second Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series championship of his career Sunday at Homestead-Miami Speedway. He is the 16th driver all-time with multiple MENCS championships and joins Jimmie Johnson as the only active drivers with multiple Cup series titles. On his way to winning the championship, Busch posted five wins, 17 top-five finishes, 27 top-10 finishes and one pole.

  Again spanks the Yamaha rookie to give Honda triple crown
The Repsol Honda Team are 2019 triple crown Champions after Marc Marquez claimed victory number 12 of the season at the Gran Premio Motul de la Comunitat Valenciana, with Jorge Lorenzo scoring points in his final MotoGP ride to help Honda win the Teams Championship. Fabio Quartararo (Petronas Yamaha SRT) and Jack Miller (Pramac Racing) complete the final podium of the season.
Torrence, Hagan, Coughlin, Jr., M. Smith #1 at Pomona
  Auto Club NHRA Finals
Defending world champ and Top Fuel points leader Steve Torrence made an impressive statement during the final qualifying session on Saturday at Auto Club Raceway at Pomona, vaulting to the No. 1 spot at the Auto Club NHRA Finals. Matt Hagan (Funny Car), Jeg Coughlin Jr. (Pro Stock) and Matt Smith (Pro Stock Motorcycle) are all No. 1 qualifiers in their respective categories at the last of six races in the 2019 NHRA Mello Yello Countdown to the Championship playoffs. The race also serves as the finale of the 24-race 2019 NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series season.
