Denny Hamlin beats Matt DiBenedetto for Bristol win
  Bass Pro Shops NRA Night race at Bristol Motor Speedway
The first thing Denny Hamlin did after winning Saturday's Bass Pro Shops NRA Night race at Bristol Motor Speedway was apologize to the man he beat to the finish line in the 24th Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race of the season. With 11 laps left in the grueling 500-lap event, Hamlin drove to the inside of Matt DiBenedetto and cleared him from the lead. Roughly three minutes later, Hamlin crossed the stripe .502 seconds ahead of the No. 95 Leavine Family Racing Toyota and handed DiBendetto his second major heartache of a difficult week.

  Lucas Oil NHRA Nationals at Brainerd International Raceway
Pro Stock driver and Minnesota native Jason Line secured his second No. 1 qualifier of the 2019 season and the 55th of his career at the 38th annual Lucas Oil NHRA Nationals at Brainerd International Raceway. Brittany Force (Top Fuel) and Matt Hagan (Funny Car) also qualified No. 1 in their respective categories at the 17th of 24 races during the 2019 NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series season.

With heavy rain falling mid-morning Saturday, INDYCAR officials opted to cancel NTT P1 Award qualifying in favor of a two-hour practice that would be more relevant to race conditions. Tony Kanaan turned the fastest lap and rookie Santino Ferrucci was third quick as they discuss practice results and the Sunday race for the 2019 ABC Supply Pocono 500.

Defending NASCAR Xfinity Series Champion Tyler Reddick rallied from last place and a lap down to win Friday night's Food City 300 at Bristol Motor Speedway and cement his spot in the Xfinity Series playoffs. Reddick came from the rear of the field twice and found himself leading the field after race leader Justin Allgaier hit the wall with 11 laps to go.

Denny Hamlin and Kyle Larson played a late game of King of the Mountain in Friday's Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series time trials at Bristol Motor Speedway. After 38 drivers made qualifying runs, it was Hamlin who was left at the top of the peak.

Brett Moffitt Advances With Bristol Truck Series Victory
  Secures Berth In Next Round Of Truck Series Playoffs
Top-seeded Brett Moffitt held off determined 17-year-old Chandler Smith after a restart with three laps left and took home the trophy in Thursday night's UNOH 200 at Bristol Motor Speedway. With the victory in the first event of the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series Playoffs, Moffitt, the defending series champion, gained an automatic berth in the Round of 6, as other Playoff contenders either overcame adversity or succumbed to it.

Last year Alexander Rossi drove the No. 27 NAPA AUTO PARTS Honda to victory in today’s ABC Supply 500 at Pocono Raceway. It was the fifth career win for the Nevada City, CA native and third of 2018. Two-time defending Pocono winner Will Power was second 4.4 seconds behind Rossi, with series championship leader Scott Dixon third. Sebastien Bourdais and Josef Newgarden rounded out the top-five. It was a thoroughly dominant performance by Rossi who led 180 of 200 laps, and lapped up to fourth place.

Aston Martin Racing is aiming high as it returns to the FIA World Endurance Championship at Silverstone (GB), the competitive home of the luxury sportscar brand, on 31 August, with an optimized version of its Vantage GTE, a strengthened driver line-up and an eye-catching new livery. The car, cased on the critically-acclaimed Aston Martin Vantage road car, will make its class debut in GTE Am with a bold new driver roster of Paul Dalla Lana (CDN), Darren Turner (GB), and Ross Gunn (GB).

Denny Hamlin wrapped up second place in the Joe Gibbs Racing No. 11 Toyota. Kyle Larson took third place, with Martin Truex Jr. fourth and Daniel Suarez closing out the top five.
