  Dodge NHRA Indy Nationals
Steve Torrence’s drive to win a third-straight NHRA Mello Yello Top Fuel championship got a kick-start after he wheeled his Capco Contractors dragster to a final round victory over low qualifier Terry McMillen at the Dodge NHRA Indy Nationals presented by Pennzoil. The final numbers show that Torrence won on a hole shot, 4.27 to 4.15. Ron Capps finally got to hold an NHRA Wally trophy from Lucas Oil Raceway. After struggling with back-to-back round one loss at the first two Indy races, Capps and his NAPA Auto Parts team rallied to win the Dodge NHRA Indy Nationals Funny Car class presented by Pennzoil.

Harvick sweeps doubleheader in Michigan
  Holds off Denny Hamlin's Toyota
Kevin Harvick did the double - winning Sunday at Michigan International Speedway - to complete a sweep of both Cup races for the weekend.  Harvick held off a closing Denny Hamlin driving his dominant Stewart-Haas Racing No. 4 Ford to his second NASCAR Cup Series win in a two-day span. Harvick led 90 of 156 laps in Sunday’s Consumers Energy 400, one day after leading 92 of 161 in a Saturday triumph at the 2-mile Michigan track. His sixth victory of the season was his fifth at Michigan and the 55th of his Cup Series career, tying him with Rusty Wallace on the series’ all-time win list.
Rookie Brad Binder wins Brno MotoGP race
First win for KTM Red Bull Team too
In an unearthly, unpredictable, MotoGP race at the Monster Energy Czech Republic Grand Prix, South African Brad binder – in just his third premier class race – stormed to an emotional first win to become the first rookie since Marc Marquez (Repsol Honda Team) to win in MotoGP. Binder won by over five seconds to lead Franco Morbidelli (Petronas Yamaha SRT) over the line as the Italian picks up his first MotoGP rostrum, with polesitter Johann Zarco (Esponsorama Racing) – despite taking a long lap penalty for an incident with Pol Espargaro (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing) – taking a memorable podium.
Da Costa crowned Formula E champion with 2nd place
  Teammate Jean Eric Vergne wins
Antonio Felix da Costa wrapped up the Formula E title with second place in the fourth Berlin race behind DS Techeetah team-mate Jean-Eric Vergne Sunday. The team orchestrated who would win to ensure both a driver's title and a constructors title. By allowing polesitter Vergne to return to first place, he led a team 1-2 over da Costa by 0.497s to score his first victory of the season, but more importantly it allowed Vergne to move up into 2nd place in the points so now both DS Techeetah drivers are 1-2.
Verstappen outduels Mercedes duo to win Emirates GP
  Lewis Hamilton 2nd at Silverstone
Max Verstappen might have won the British GP last weekend had his team not pitted him late to get the fastest lap, and this week Red Bull played the tire strategy to perfection and Max Verstappen, the more talented driver, defeated Lewis Hamilton in the Emirates GP comfortably despite Hamilton having the superior car. Valtteri Bottas was third in the 2nd Mercedes after starting from pole. Charles Leclerc (Ferrari) and Alex Albon (Red Bull) rounded out the top-5.
Michigan: Harvick wins in overtime
  Beats Ford of Brad Keselowski
Kevin Harvick’s red-colored No. 4 Stewart-Haas Racing Ford dominated the FireKeepers Casino 400 at Michigan International Speedway, resulting in Harvick’s third Michigan win in the last four races and fourth of his career. Harvick’s red car was out front the majority of the afternoon, leading a race-best 92 of the 161 laps, but five restarts in the final 30 laps – including an overtime finish – forced Harvick, 44, “The Closer” to close out the win. It marked his fifth victory of the year, tying him with Denny Hamlin for most in the series in 2020.
