IndyCar engine manufacturer rivals General Motors and Honda have agreed to jointly develop two all-new electric vehicles for Honda, based on GM’s highly flexible global EV platform powered by proprietary Ultium batteries. The exteriors and interiors of the new EVs will be exclusively designed by Honda, and the platform will be engineered to support Honda’s driving character.

Lawrence StrollAston Martin’s return to Formula 1 is confirmed.  The 2021 season will see one of the greatest car brands, Aston Martin, return to the grid as a works F1 team, continuing to operate  from its base in Silverstone. On Monday 30th of March, the shareholders of Aston Martin Lagonda approved a ÂŁ536m fundraising, underpinned by an injection of ÂŁ260m of new capital from Yew Tree Consortium - a group of investors led by Lawrence Stroll.  As part of this investment Mr. Stroll will become Executive Chairman of Aston Martin and Aston Martin will create its own works F1 racing team.

Timmy Hill drove his #66 Toyota Camry to victory in the eNASCAR iRacing Pro Series Invitational O’Reilly Auto Parts 125 NASCAR Cup race at virtual Texas Motor Speedway Sunday. Hill used a late bump of William Byron to get the lead, then held on for an overtime win. Hill had his mirrors filled with the #37 Chevy of Ryan Preece and the #51 Chevy of Garrett Smithley. 
Alex Marquez wins MotoGP race at Mugello

The Repsol Honda Team converted their success on track to success in the virtual world as Alex Marquez claimed a stunning first win of 2020 with Marc Marquez finishing a respectable fifth. Six laps around the Mugello circuit produced thrilling action for the first #StayAtHomeGP, riders attacking from the moment the lights went out. With a more condensed event format than a typical GP, riders had little time to refine their setting.

  First IndyCar win at The Glen
With 36,000 fans in attendance, Dreyer and Reinbold #24 Wix Filters driver Sage Karam from Nazareth, PA. battled Ganassi NTT Data #10 driver Felix Rosenqvist all race long but held on to win the iRacing IndyCar race at Watkins Glen Saturday. The race is the first of 6 scheduled to fill the gap due to the Coronavirus postponing the start of the real IndyCar season. Penske drivers Will Power and Scott McLaughlin were 3rd and 4th while Ganassi Racing rookie Oliver Askew rounded out the top-5.
Aston Martin moves into V6 era
  Hybrid / plug-in hybrid engine set to be most powerful in Aston Martin range
Aston Martin has revealed further details of its in-house designed V6 engine, which has been created initially for deployment in a new range of mid-engined sportscars, starting with the Aston Martin Valhalla from 2022. Codenamed TM01 – celebrating Aston Martin’s illustrious engineer of the 50s and 60s, Tadek Marek – the engine has already undergone a series of extensive testing on the dyno, as the team make progress towards creating the luxury British brand’s first in-house designed engine since 1968.
IndyCar postpones Indy 500 to August 23rd

The Indianapolis 500 Presented by Gainbridge has been rescheduled for Sunday, Aug. 23 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, officials from INDYCAR and the Indianapolis Motor Speedway (IMS) announced today. The 104th edition of "The Greatest Spectacle in Racing" will air live on NBC, with the official green flag time to be announced at a later date.

The PETRONAS Yamaha Sepang Racing Team rider tells us how he’s keeping busy and adjusting to life at home awaiting the return of MotoGP action.  He's home in Andorra where he is not totally in quarantine but he tries to go out as little as possible so as not to get hit by the Coronavirus. Like all the riders he does know when they’ll start the season but of course they all need to be fit and 100% prepared whenever the first race is, so they're training hard and, of course, looking forward to starting the season.

In what was a peek into the future of auto racing when cars drive themselves and drivers are no longer needed to put on real races at a race track, Denny Hamlin passed Dale Earnhardt Jr. on the final lap to win Sunday’s NASCAR Pro Invitational iRacing Series exhibition race at Homestead-Miami Speedway. Earnhardt was second in the 100-lap race. Timmy Hill was third. Chase Briscoe placed fourth. Garrett Smithley was fifth.
A LOOK BACK 1 YEAR: NASCAR at Martinsville
  Amy Henderson - Keselowski dominates to win Martinsville
Team Penske put an exclamation point on the organization’s hot start to 2019 as Brad Keselowski conquered NASCAR’s shortest track Sunday to win the STP 500 at Martinsville Speedway in a purely dominant performance, becoming the first driver to win more than one race in 2019. Keselowski led 446 out of 500 laps and swept the stage wins on Sunday in a race that saw long green-flag runs and plenty of on-track action.
