Supercars News: Feeney beats Mostert in Townsville Race 2
Repco Supercars Championship leader Broc Feeney has claimed his first ever win on the streets of Townsville with a dominant drive in today’s 200km race at the NTI Townsville 500.
The Red Bull Ampol Racing Chevrolet star held his nerve through early chaos to deliver his ninth win of the 2025 season and the team’s first in Townsville since 2022. It was Feeney’s 21st career race win, moving him to outright 19th on the all-time list.

The Gold Coaster bounced back from an 8th place finish on Friday to extend his Championship lead over Matt Payne to 201 points with one race left to run this weekend.
Chaz Mostert stormed from 17th on the grid to finish second in an epic comeback drive for Mobil 1 Optus Racing Ford ace, while Penrite Racing’s Matt Payne rounded out the podium in third.

The race began with high drama when Nulon Racing’s James Golding made heavy contact with the rear of Thomas Randle, launching Golding’s Camaro onto two wheels and over the roof of Randle’s Castrol Mustang.
Both drivers were unharmed in the incident.
Pole-sitter David Reynolds, battling illness throughout the day, faded through the pack to eventually finish 10th in the Tradie Camaro.
