21-Year-Old Mateo Siderman Completes Breakout Rookie Season in Lamborghini Super Trofeo, Earns Promotion to Pro Class for 2026

Siderman Completes Breakout Rookie Season, moves up to Pro Class in Lamborghini Super Trofeo

Mateo Siderman (pictured), a 21-year-old rising American racing driver, has completed one of the most remarkable rookie campaigns in recent Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America history—culminating in dominant victories, a World Finals class win, and a rare mid-event promotion to the Pro class.

Siderman, who did not hold a racing license before 2024, began his motorsport journey just last year in Spec Miata and Spec Boxster competition. In 2025, he made the ambitious jump to the Lamborghini Super Trofeo AM class with TR3 Racing.

His season began with adversity at Sebring, where a DNF in one race and a non-competitive result in the other left him at the bottom of the standings. But immediately after Sebring, Siderman’s progress accelerated at an extraordinary pace. He began climbing the order, securing podium finishes and rapidly emerging as one of the strongest drivers in the category.

By the time the series reached the North American finale at the iconic Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Siderman had transformed into the benchmark of the AM field. He won both races at Indy, gapping the competition by more than 20 seconds and establishing himself as the outright fastest in the AM class.

American racing legend and multiple racing hall of famer, Tommy Kendall was on hand to witness Mateo’s final races of the season and had this to say: “Mateo’s multiple wins in his rookie season of Super Trofeo is noteworthy enough, but even more so when you realize he was a D1 college football player who had never raced any car just two years ago. The speed at which he came to grips with this challenging car and competition has been super impressive. He clearly has a very good head on his shoulders as he is pushing hard with full commitment on and off the track, but isn’t ragged like many young chargers tend to be.”

TR3 Racing transported their cars to Italy for the Lamborghini World Finals at Misano World Circuit in November, where Siderman continued his upward trajectory. In the first North American AM Finals race, he delivered another runaway victory by over 20 seconds. In the second race, he was in position for another commanding win before a drive-through penalty cost him the lead.

Siderman’s performances were so impressive that—immediately following his dominance of the AM category—he was promoted to the Pro class for the World Finals’ global races. Despite entering an entirely new category with no prior Pro-class experience, he surprised teams and observers with competitive pace in both Pro races. His lap times in the Pro events were strong enough that, had he remained in AM, he would have finished 20–30 seconds ahead of the fastest AM drivers in those same sessions.

With a breakout rookie season behind him and a full-time Pro-class campaign ahead, Siderman now enters 2026 as one of North America’s most promising young GT drivers. Siderman is available for additional sponsorship opportunities.
