Adria Kaye (Force) Hight June 4, 1969 – April 28, 2026
Adria Kaye (Force) Hight, 56, of Terre Haute, Indiana, passed away peacefully on April 28, 2026, in Indianapolis, Indiana, surrounded by her loving family. A cornerstone of one of drag racing’s most storied families and organizations, Adria was the oldest daughter of NHRA legend John Force and played an instrumental behind-the-scenes role in building John Force Racing from its earliest days into a dominant force in motorsports.
Born on June 4, 1969, in Huntington Park, California, Adria grew up immersed in the world of drag racing. As a child she loved skating, swimming, playing restaurant, and collecting Matchbox cars. After graduating from Huntington Beach High School, she joined her father’s fledgling team as one of its very first employees. From answering phones and selling T-shirts out of the race trailer to managing the financial operations of what would become one of the winningest organizations in NHRA history, Adria rose to become Chief Financial Officer of John Force Racing. Her tireless work ethic, sharp business acumen, and quiet dedication helped transform a small family operation into a powerhouse that produced multiple championships and launched the careers of her father and sisters.
Adria is survived by her daughter, Autumn Hight (Nathan Prose); her mother, Lana Starks; her father, John Force (Laurie Force); her fiancé, Jimmy Collins; her sisters, Ashley (Daniel Hood), Brittany (Bobby Lyons), and Courtney (Graham Rahal); and many beloved nieces and nephews who adored their “silly aunt” — Jacob, Noah, Brody, Harlan, Tinley, and Fallon. She was also a devoted “grandma” to her dogs Indy and Bubba and cherished time with friends, family, and pets. She will be remembered for her love of a good apple martini and the slower pace of country life she embraced in Terre Haute while still traveling the country to support her family’s racing endeavors and Autumn’s junior dragster career.
Adria was preceded in death by her grandparents Gracey and C.N. Boneé and Betty and Bill Force.
In keeping with Adria’s wishes, private services were held. Her burial took place at Roselawn Memorial Park in Terre Haute, Indiana. A celebration of her life will be announced at a later date in California.
The racing community mourns the loss of a woman whose greatest contributions happened out of the spotlight, yet whose impact on the sport and her family will be felt for generations. Adria’s legacy lives on in the organization she helped build and in the hearts of all who knew her warmth, strength, and unwavering family devotion.
