Track News: Construction begins on MADRING Formula 1 Pit Building
The MADRING project is gaining momentum. The works on the future circuit of the FORMULA 1 TAG HEUER SPANISH GRAND PRIX take a decisive step forward with the start of construction of the Pit Building, one of the key infrastructures of any Grand Prix and the true nerve center of the competition. This is where the team garages, FIA technical areas and one of the most exclusive spaces, the VIP Paddock Club, will be located.
Situated at IFEMA MADRID, the building will consist of three floors with a maximum height of 18.5 meters. The ground floor will house the iconic “boxes”, the space where teams work, where strategic decisions are made in real time and where the single-seaters are housed before launching onto the track. A building designed to operate at the highest level during race weekend, featuring 14 modular garages: 11 for the teams and 3 for the FIA.

The upper levels will host the VIP Paddock Club, one of the most exclusive areas of the championship. Indoor lounges, premium hospitality areas and panoramic terraces will offer privileged views of the pit lane and the track, allowing guests to experience Formula 1 just meters from the action. An environment designed for companies, guests and personalities, where sport, technology and experience come together.
The building, whose construction is being carried out by Eiffage Construcción, will be directly integrated with IFEMA MADRID’s existing halls, creating direct connections between buildings, accessible stairways and lifts, and will have a life beyond the Grand Prix itself. When the Formula 1 lights go out next September 13, this infrastructure will become part of IFEMA MADRID’s daily activity and regular needs, enhancing the value of the Convention South area of the venue, as well as Halls 1 and 2.
Works on the Valdebebas plot are progressing at a good pace
In parallel with this milestone in the construction of the MADRING circuit, works on the Valdebebas plot continue to progress according to the planned schedule. At the beginning of December, paving of the first base layer of the track began, a fundamental step in shaping the circuit. In the coming months, the remaining layers — the intermediate layer and the wearing course — will be laid.
