Formula E News: Pascal Wehrlein wins Jeddah E-Prix round 4
JEDDAH, Saudi Arabia — Pascal Wehrlein turned his 100th Formula E start into a masterclass in strategy and control, storming to victory in Round 4 of the 2025/26 ABB FIA Formula E World Championship under the lights at the Jeddah Corniche Circuit.

The Porsche Formula E Team driver started from third on the grid but played the new PIT BOOST and ATTACK MODE rules to perfection, activating his 50kW all-wheel-drive boost later than his rivals and building an eight-second cushion that proved unbeatable in the closing stages.
“It was a super, nicely executed race,” Wehrlein said afterwards. “I waited a bit with the PIT BOOST but also with the ATTACK MODE, and I think that was the right strategy. We managed to do that and in the end I could manage the pace. It was a very enjoyable race and I also had good fights — some pretty tough ones, especially at the start — but we got through it.”
Edoardo Mortara recovered brilliantly from a disastrous wheel-spinning start that dropped him from pole to fifth inside the opening lap. The Mahindra Racing driver fought his way back to second with a late ATTACK MODE charge, but knew the win had slipped away at the first corner.
“The incident at the start must have been nice for the cameras!” Mortara joked. “I lost five places… but the team has done a tremendous job. Today’s start wasn’t ideal, but it’s not the end of the world and we still finished P2.”
Mitch Evans completed the podium for Jaguar TCS Racing, slicing through the field from outside the top 10 with another perfectly timed late ATTACK MODE to grab third.

Nico Müller finished a strong fourth for Porsche, with António Félix da Costa fifth and Nick Cassidy—starting all the way back in 13th—charging to sixth for Citroën Racing.
