Formula 1 and C15 Studio renew multi-year partnership to operate the Formula 1 Channel in the US
Formula 1® has today announced the renewal of its partnership with C15 Studio to operate the ‘Formula 1 Channel’ for fans in the US, which allows them to watch pre-scheduled programming of classic Grands Prix, popular documentaries and relive the action of the previous race weekend, with full replays, detailed highlights and expert analysis of the current F1, Formula 2 and Formula 3 seasons, available to watch five days after each Grand Prix.
Under the new agreement, the 2026 F1 ACADEMY™ season will also be aired live on the platform for the first time broadcasting each of the seven rounds including every practice and qualifying session, and race. Starting in Shanghai on March 13, the all-female series will then race in Saudi Arabia, Canada, Great Britain, the Netherlands, Austin, and Las Vegas.
Launched in 2024, the ‘Formula 1 Channel’, a Free-Ad Supported Streaming Television (FAST) channel for fans in the US, is available on leading streaming services, including Fubo, LG Channels, Plex, Pluto TV, Prime Video, Samsung TV Plus, The Roku Channel and VIDAA.
Formula 1 has a rapidly growing fanbase of 52 million in the United States, up 11% year-on-year. The Formula 1 Channel has an audience of over one million viewers per month and serves as another touchpoint for fans to follow the sport. US fans wishing to watch live Grands Prix and access additional programming, analysis and a wider slate of features can follow the season via Formula 1’s official broadcaster, Apple TV.
Ian Holmes, Chief Media Rights and Broadcasting Officer of Formula 1, said:
“The Formula 1 Channel has been a great tool for F1 to engage with our rapidly growing US fanbase by creating an easy entry point which embraces the American audience’s diverse viewing habits. This renewed partnership and the addition of live sessions for the 2026 F1 ACADEMY series on the channel elevate the platform’s programming and perfectly supports our world-class live broadcast offering with new rights holder Apple TV.”
Joe Nilsson, CEO & Co-founder of C15 Studio, said:
“Since launching the F1 Channel in 2024, the growth we’ve seen has been exceptional, underlining the strong demand from fans for always-on access to Formula 1 content. Extending our partnership with Formula 1 and adding live F1 ACADEMY racing to the channel for 2026 represents an exciting next phase of that collaboration, and a clear endorsement of the strength behind our partnership. F1 ACADEMY is shaping the future of the sport, and we’re proud to share that journey live with audiences on the F1 Channel.”
