NASCAR New Hampshire race to sell out

Despite solid June numbers – at least in this economy – NHMS is actually already ahead of those numbers for this Sunday's opening race in the Sprint Cup Championship.

The speedway sold roughly 91,000 tickets (out of 105,491) for the race back at the end of June. According to Gappens, the numbers for Sunday's race have already exceeded those totals by nearly 7,000 tickets.

"We've really picked up in the last couple weeks, we're down to about 7,500 left for Sunday," Gappens said yesterday afternoon. "I don't know if we'll get it completely sold out, but we're certainly in a lot better shape than we were a month ago and I feel really good about that. But I'll tell you, from what I'm seeing from other tracks and everything, we should be really proud of where we are with our ticket sales and how many people are going to be here on Sunday."
