Dodge pulls out of NASCAR Truck Series

UPDATE Bobby Hamilton Racing-Virginia is looking for a new manufacturer after being told that Dodge will not support the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series team following the 2008 season. The team recently suspended operations of one of its trucks for the rest of the season as it prepares for the switch in manufacturers. The BHR-Virginia team was the only one that Dodge supported in the series in 2008 and the manufacturer is not expected to support any beginning in 2009.

“We’re talking to other manufacturers and seeing what’s available," said team co-owner Clay Campbell. “Obviously it’s a tough time for everybody."

[Editor's Note: Sure appears like Dodge has pulled out to us.]

09/06/08 At the beginning of the Truck Race today, they said that Dodge will not be supporting ant teams next year. They are not pulling out, they just are not going to have factory support. If you are not supporting teams, doesn't that mean you have pulled out?
