Andretti could return to NASCAR
Andretti has driven in the last four IndyCar Series events for Roth Racing and will compete this weekend in the series race at Richmond International Raceway. His deal with Roth Racing is week-to-week, and he said Wednesday that he is unsure where he will be racing next weekend.
“I’m definitely going to come back and do some more NASCAR races, whether it be truck or Cup or whatever," Andretti said in a phone interview. “I’m not done. … It just depends on what the opportunities are, where they are and the timing of them.
“I had already planned to come back after the Indy 500 and do some more things, and that has never changed." John Andretti has put on hold a NASCAR career that has included 358 Cup starts, but for how long remains to be seen.
