Marino gets sacked with brother?

A reader asks, Dear AutoRacing1.com, Do you guys know what happened to Marino Franchitti at AGR? Why is Meira driving and not him at Petit LeMans? M. Jones

Dear M. It would appear that Marino may have been part of the deal when they signed his brother Dario to the team this last time. When Dario quit to go run in NASCAR it seems Marino got the boot. Marino is a very well regarded sports car driver. He has had his own success without his brother's help before. He has totally outclassed his teammate all season, quicker and able to cope better with the mechanical problems you get by the very nature of long sports car races. The reason he (the quickest driver in the team, usually the quickest Acura) is not racing this week? Try looking up spite in the dictionary. AutoRacing1.com Staff
