MIS might not sell out

Further evidence of NASCAR's declining popularity. Some 5 weeks out from their June NASCAR race, MIS is advertising on local media for their Sunday race. This is the race that sold out for some 18 years straight before last year. In addition, MIS removed some 5,000 seats for this year. This is in addition to TV ads during race broadcasts.

The commercials are something akin to Monster Truck / Mud Bog / Furniture Store Going Out Of Business Sale. The June event is sponsored by a local bank. Obviously, no national corporation wanted to pay for sponsoring the race, and the price went low enough that a local firm picked it up.
