F1 to switch to high-def broadcasts

According to autosport.com, Formula One looks set to be broadcast in High Definition sometime later this season. Plans are being put in place to upgrade the television cameras and production facilities that provide the world television feed to allow the HD footage to be available to F1's television broadcasters. NASCAR, IRL (Indy 500), Golf, Football, Soccer and most other professional sports have already made the switch.
