Wilson could leave RuSPORT

Three top Champ Car teams are vying for Justin Wilson's services for 2007, this week's Autosport magazine reports.

Wilson's manager Jonathan Palmer said: "It's a fantastic situation to be in. You've got three top teams – RuSPORT, Forsythe and Newman/Haas – who are all very eager to have Justin driving for them next year. We want to take our time over the decision. He's the best guy out there along with Bourdais."

According to AutoRacing1.com sources, Forsythe is most likely to sign Wilson and the deal can be completed as early as today. In fact if you bothered to look at our 2007 Champ Car Silly Season page you would have noticed that we had Wilson listed as going to Forsythe for almost two weeks now. However, we were asked not to say anything about it as negotiations were at a critical stage. He would take AJ Allmendinger's seat.
