More Schu rumors

(GMM) Michael Schumacher's manager has once again denied reports that the 37-year-old Ferrari veteran could be eyeing a switch to another racing series or to Jean Todt's pitwall perch.

''Team boss? Never!'' Willi Weber was quoted as saying by German newspaper Bild am Sonntag.

Reports have also linked Schumacher with a job as an Alfa Romeo racer in the DTM category, or a full time F1 test driver role.

Weber, revealing that an ambassadorial job is a possibility, said: ''The DTM thing is nonsense. And Michael is not going to become a proper (F1) test driver.''

According to the Sunday edition of Bild, however, Weber – who always vowed to retire when Schumacher did – is already contemplating the next German talents to bring to F1.

So could Schumacher change his own mind, too?

''Absolutely, no,'' Weber said firmly. ''Michael made his own decision to stop and he is happy about what he decided.''

Adding to Ross Brawn's revelation in Shanghai that a dual 'ambassador-technical' role could be fulfilled by Schumacher in future, Weber also floated the possibility that the seven time world champion head a young driver program for Ferrari.

But he insisted: ''At the moment we have only one goal — Michael's eighth title.''
