New Aguri could make troubled debut

(GMM) Aguri Suzuki has warned that the debut of his F1 team's new car at Hockenheim might be marred by reliability trouble.

'SA06' is a long-awaited development of its Super Aguri predecessor; whose chassis and basic bodywork was carried over from the 2002 racer of defunct team Arrows.

The new car, still using the Arrows monocoque but significantly lighter, debuted at a Silverstone 'shakedown' this week and on Thursday got a second outing in the hands of Sakon Yamamoto, who will also debut next weekend.

But Suzuki said: ''It is possible that we are going to face a few teething problems.''

The updated car's aerodynamic bodywork is all new, as is the aluminum gearbox and revised rear suspension.

''The car felt good,'' said Takuma Sato, ''although it is difficult to say how good as the Stowe circuit (at Silverstone) is very short compared to a normal race track.''
