Firestone and Bridgestone to support merged series

With the merger between Champ Car and IRL underway (see related article on Hot News page) on Saturday in Cleveland we quizzed Firestone/Bridgestone motorsport boss Al Speyer which brand, Firestone or Bridgestone, would be used in a merged series.

"We're still talking about it," said Speyer, "but we think we may pit both brands against each other, some cars on Firestone, some on Bridgestone."
