Flav to sue German tabloid

(GMMf1NET) Renault boss Flavio Briatore has threatened to sue a German newspaper for calling him a Nazi.

'Bild' published a photo of the playboy Italian, standing outside the McLaren-Mercedes pit, doing a Hitler-like salute in the Melbourne pitlane this weekend.

''That's ridiculous!'' Briatore fumed. ''I was only waving to someone.''

But daily tabloid 'Bild' claimed that Briatore, 55, had even clicked his heels together and held his arm aloft for several seconds.

''Flavio can sometimes be a clown and likes to have fun,'' said a Renault spokeswoman. ''The gesture was not at all politically motivated — it was neither malicious or racist.''
