Five Mexican drivers in Busch race

At least five Mexican drivers will participate in the NASCAR Busch Series race scheduled for March 5 in Mexico City, something organizers called a sign of the U.S. circuit's growing popularity south of the border. "This says a lot about the growth of auto racing in our country," said Federico Alaman, director of sporting events for OCESA, which is organizing the event. "There are already five or six, and more names are being included all the time." Alaman was accompanied at a news conference by some of the Mexican drivers likely to race in the Busch event, including Carlos Contreras, Michel Jourdain and Jose Luis Ramirez. Top Mexican driver Adrian Fernandez will also be present. He is planning to run in both the Busch race and the Grand Am contest to be held March 4. CBS Sportsline/AP
