Belgian youngster eyes Champ Car

Jan Heylen, the newly crowned Renault Megane Turbo Champion at Monza last weekend is eyeing a Champ Car drive for 2006 and told the Belgian Press it's looking pretty good. Heylen drove for Kolles in the Euroseries F3 in 2003, then left for the German Recaro Cup F3, where he nearly missed the title because of missing the first race, and re-established himself in touring cars. According Belgian sources the deal is 99% done.
