Brian France planning exit from NASCAR

NASCAR Chair & CEO Brian France, has “within the past year sold his entire 25% stake in NASCAR" to his uncle, NASCAR Exec VP and ISC President & COO Jim France, and his sister, ISC President Lesa France Kennedy, according to sources cited by Mike Mulhern of the WINSTON-SALEM JOURNAL. Brian France “has told the family he is willing to serve as NASCAR boss for the time being, but that he eventually –-apparently within a rather short period of time, possibly after finishing negotiations on the sport’s new TV contracts — wants to leave the family business." It “appears that Jim France … now owns controlling interest in NASCAR" WINSTON-SALEM JOURNAL
