Raikkonen protégé eyes Champ Car

Kimi Raikkonen protégé Dan Clarke (pictured right) from England, is considering a possible run at Champ Car next year. He and his manager were in the Champ Car paddock looking to meet with Kevin Kalkhoven and Steve Johnson to see what opportunities there might be in Champ Car next year.

Clarke drives for Kimi Raikkonen's team in British F3 and already has a win and many podiums to his credit. Dan Clarke scored his first victory in the British Formula 3 International Series at Castle Combe this year – and he also gave McLaren-Mercedes Formula 1 star Kimi Raikkonen his first win as a team owner.

The visit was strictly a fact-finding mission for this weekend. "I would love to get to F1, but I must keep my options open and we know American racing is good."
