Bourdais won’t rule out move to NASCAR

UPDATE Bourdais confirmed on Wind Tunnel Sunday night that he will race in Champ Car in 2006. 09/02/05 Bourdais won't rule out move to NASCAR: Frenchman Sebastien Bourdais, on his way to a second consecutive Champ Car title, doesn't rule out a move to NASCAR in the future. "Before I say it is my dream to race in NASCAR, I need to see if I am good first," Bourdais said on a conference call Tuesday. "I'm not closing the door on it. I have a good time in the [IROC] stock cars. Maybe somebody will give me a chance to test and see if I'm good." Bourdais, 26, won the IROC event at Texas Motor Speedway in April, proving his skills against top NASCAR drivers on an oval track. He gets a short-track test Thursday night in the IROC race at Richmond. "I've received a lot of help from the NASCAR guys," Bourdais said. "This experience has taught me that NASCAR racing is a whole lot more than just turning left. I'm enjoying the whole thing." Dallas Morning News
