Ansan race management change

UPDATE "There is a lot of trepidation out in the public that the race isn't going to come off because obviously it didn't last year," said Joe Chrnelich, Champ Car's executive vice-president of development, governmental affairs and planning. "We've been working very closely with the promoter to make sure it does happen. But we can tell you candidly that working on a new venue all the way around the globe with language barriers and time zone barriers is a very challenging task. Obviously it's something we have to fine-tune because we're going to be doing a lot more of that. But we will not let the promoter fail and we are looking forward to getting there for the inaugural event and being there next year as well." 08/14/05 We have it on good word that all is well with Champ Car's upcoming South Korea race in Ansan. There was a rumor going around the paddock that the promoter had quit so we checked with Champ Car President Dick Eidswick. "There is no truth to that rumor," said Eidswick. "Yes the English speaking guy who was part of the promoter group is being replaced, but this in no way will affect our race."
