Champ Car out to plug holes in schedule
A number of people have inquired about the holes that remain in the 2006 Champ Car schedule, particularly the gap between Long Beach and Houston, and then later between Montreal and Las Vegas in September. Word is that the hole in the schedule early in the year will get plugged when the Japan race joins in 2007, where it may be paired with the China race in late April/early May. As for the gap in September, if Las Vegas becomes a street race and closes the season in early November, it is quite possible that the October races (South Korea, Australia and Mexico City) will be moved up a week or two and September will be plugged one of the summer races, perhaps Philadelphia, or the South America races if they ever materialize.
