Carroll may get BAR test role

Young British racer Adam Carroll has been tipped for a full-time testing role with BAR-Honda in 2006. Senior race engineer Jock Clear, who runs the young driver program, hinted at Carroll.

“Adam Carroll is clearly talented, quick and he’s seriously sharp," Clear told Motorsport News. “After two years it’s our intention to bring one of the young drivers we’ve got in the program into the race team. “We know that Jenson Button’s position is not particularly clear and that Anthony deserves a chance to drive – so there’ll be a test spot available."
