Again no bumping at Indy

What fans see is apparently what they will get for this year's Indianapolis 500. With one day of practice remaining prior to the resumption of qualifying, a review of the teams competing for the 33 starting slots indicates there will be minimal changes to the previously announced car-and-driver combinations.

Unless a current driver is injured before the May 29 race or rookie Arie Luyendyk Jr. — who was added to the participation list Wednesday — fails to complete the mandatory four-stage newcomer test, the two final days of qualifying at Indianapolis Motor Speedway might not produce much drama. Rain took away Luyendyk's first opportunity Thursday. He is expected to be on the track this morning before official practice begins at noon. More at Indy Star
