Fuji preparing for F1 bid

The Toyota-owned Fuji track, which has been substantially redeveloped over the past 12 months, has been handed two slots on this year’s Formula Nippon calendar. Sepang in Malaysia, which hosted a race in 2004, has been dropped from the schedule, which starts at Motegi on April 3. Autosport Magazine [Editor's Note: This and other races at Fuji over the next two years will prepare it for a bid for the Japanese GP. Whether the Honda owned Suzuka track keeps its F1 date and there are two Japanese GPs, remains to be seen, but rest assured Toyota will line Bernie's pockets with gold in an attempt to land a F1 race at Fuji.]
