Tony George to bankroll another IRL team

According to this SPEED TV article, Playa Del Racing is taking over Tom Kelley's shop and some of his assets to go IRL racing in 2005 and will be sponsored by DHL Worldwide Express. But Tony George also figures to be playing a big role in this team, co-owned by Gary Salee and David Morgan. Ed Carpenter, the stepson of George and an IRL rookie this past season, and Arie Luyendyk Jr., son of the two-time Indy 500 winner, are expected to be announced as drivers for a team that is obviously going to get some major financial help from the IRL founder and most likely Toyota.
