Will Liuzzi do Champ Car in 2005?

See other rumor. 10/05/04 This rumor is downgraded to 'false' today based on reports in Italy that Liuzzi has signed a contract for Ferrari. 09/15/04 With reports this morning that Jacques Villeneuve has likely signed to drive for Sauber in 2005, this is bad news for Italian Formula 3000 sensation Vitantonio Liuzzi, who is due to test for the Swiss team at Jerez this week. He had hoped to be racing in F1 in 2005 and may now have to settle for a job next year as a Formula 1 test driver as Peter Sauber says there is no plan to replace Sauber's other driver Felipe Massa. Liuzzi dominated F3000 this year much like Juan Montoya did years ago. Another option for him might be to race in Champ Car in 2005 as several F3000 champions before him have. Formula GP2 might be another option.
