NASCAR today announced its driver participation guidelines for the '17 season, limiting the number of events a Cup series driver can race in the lower Xfinity and Camping World Truck Series.

Cup drivers with more than five years of full-time experience will be eligible to run a maximum 10 Xfinity races and seven truck races, and they will be ineligible to compete in the final eight races in each series.

Drivers earning Cup points in '17 also are not eligible for the Xfinity and truck races at Homestead-Miami Speedway. NASCAR PR
