09/20/16 Paul Leyton, President of CART Reunions, has announced that the focus of the Second Reunion to be held October 7-8th in Plainfield, Indiana, will be to honor the founders of the original sanctioning body, known as Championship Auto Racing Teams.

Dan Gurney, Roger Penske and U. E. "Pat" Pat Patrick will be recognized on Saturday night, October 8th at the event.

"Due to previous commitments, Roger and Dan will not be able to attend in person, but are well aware of the recognition we plan to bestow on them for their vision and determination in the formation of C.A.R.T. back in the late seventies. We are honored that Pat is planning to be present for the event itself"

Leyton commented. Registration for the reunion is still available on the web site – www.cartreunions.org – and is open to all credentialed participants in the series (or its supporting/affiliated series) between 1979 and 2008. "We hope to see a great turnout for a fantastic event", Leyton added.
