Did Andretti win or lose in a legal battle against itself?

That remains the unanswered question Wednesday as a settlement was reached in the odd case.

The essence of the resolution is that former Andretti Sports Marketing executives John Lopes and Starke Taylor received control of the Indianapolis-based company from Michael Andretti, who formerly owned 60 percent.

Andretti remains the sole owner of the race team, Andretti Autosport.

Not many details were released per the settlement guidelines.

Andretti Sports Marketing will be renamed by Lopes and Taylor. The company has promoted IndyCar Series races in Baltimore, Milwaukee and New Orleans while staging a Formula E race in Miami. AutoWeek
