Volkswagen Andretti Rallycross: Vegas Pre-Race Report

Scott Speed will be looking to win the 2014 Red Bull Global Rallycross Championship in Las Vegas

With nine races completed in this year's series, the Volkswagen Andretti Rallycross team heads to Las Vegas for the tenth and final battle of the season and its third consecutive season finale held in Las Vegas. Red Bull Global Rallycross Las Vegas will take place at The LINQ Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, NV, from November 4-5. The Las Vegas course layout will see cars racing counterclockwise for only the third time this season. NBC will air the race on Sunday, November 16, at 1:30 p.m. ET.

• The Charlotte, NC resident is one of four driver's competing for the Red Bull Global Rallycross drivers' championship.
• Speed has captured more series wins than any other driver during his 2015 season.

"We're really excited about heading to Vegas and having a great chance to win race four. As far as Championships are concerned, if we walk away from there with four total wins and the Championship winner has no wins, then we'll still feel pretty good about ourselves and the year we have had. We'll just control what we can control in Vegas, try to walk away with another win and call it a good year overall for the No. 77 7UP Volkswagen Andretti team."

" Having won two out of the last three races in Las Vegas, I tend to enjoy running there. Historically, the tracks in Vegas have been good and the backdrop is a perfect place to wrap up the season. With the SEMA Show going on at the same time at the Las Vegas Convention Center, the industry exposure is awesome for the sport of rallycross. For the first time in four years of Global Rallycross, I am completely out of the drivers' championship hunt going in this final round, so for me it's all about testing some of the new changes to the Rockstar Energy Drink Beetle. It's my last chance to get it 100% race ready for the 2015 season!"
