Detroit IndyCar TV Ratings (2nd Update)

UPDATE #2 The final TV ratings are in for the Detroit GP on ABC. Saturday saw a nice jump – 0.9 rating vs. 0.6 last year – 1.4 million viewers vs. 882,000 last year Sunday was even with last year – 0.7 rating, roughly 1 million viewers both years. It will be a very long time before an NBCSN broadcast gets over 1 million viewers for IndyCar.

06/02/14 So after all the ABC races have concluded the conclusion is that IndyCar viewership growth is negligible. Meanwhile NASCAR and other racing are down. Why? AR1.com has told you why repeatedly. Racing is losing the youth of this country, most of them could care less about racing, and most have never been exposed to racing as a sport because go-kart racing is not a sanctioned NCAA sport. And unless they reverse that trend, attendance and viewership will stay even or decline. There is only one solution and you have read about here on AR1.com. The powers in charge had better wake up.
