Red Bull issue is settled, Vettel out to take title again

Red Bull advisor Helmut Marko has claimed that the Malaysian Grand Prix controversy surrounding his drivers is now a closed matter, with Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber said to have shaken hands at the end of an extensive post-race debrief.

Vettel ignored team orders to pass teammate Webber in the closing stages of last weekend's race, applying further tension to their relationship. But Marko says discussions behind closed doors have allowed a line to be drawn under the situation.

"They don't have to be completely on the same page but it must be a solid working partnership," Marko is quoted as saying by ESPN. "Sebastian apologised in the press conference and I think that was the first correct step to make.

"There was a debrief afterwards with the relevant discussions about the race and then there was a handshake between the two drivers. For us now the issue is settled."

Now Sebastian Vettel can get down to business of crushing the opposition for a fourth straight year and take his fourth straight title. Statistically he is ahead of Michael Schumacher's statistics for poles, wins, titles and laps led. He may someday surpass Schumacher's once thought unreachable numbers.
