Charlotte Motor Speedway testing rained out Thursday

Day 1 of the two-day NASCAR Sprint Cup Series test at Charlotte Motor Speedway was canceled due to rain at the track and an impending winter storm and more rain in the forecast. Forecast for the Charlotte/Concord, NC area are for 100% rain Thursday, January 17th. Plus there is a winter storm approaching the Charlotte area which could bring some snow and/or ice. The test on Friday will be extended 90 minutes: 9:00am-12:30pm/et and 1:00-5:00pm/et. Testing will NOT be extended to Saturday
