Dale Jr. not a fan of Keselowski’s

Dale Earnhardt Jr. took issue with the Penske Racing driver's remarks last week at Michigan when he accused the Hendrick Motorsports team of running a rear end suspension that was pushing the edge of the rules envelope.

"I don't particularly like the things he says lately about the company I drive for, so I take offense to the claims and the accusations," Earnhardt Jr. said Friday morning at Bristol Motor Speedway. "It's just natural for me to do that."

While Keselowski reiterated Thursday he was not calling what Hendrick was doing cheating, he stands by his comments the team has something that may be providing a competitive edge.

"I respect them and their ability to do those things, and to be innovators," Keselowski said Thursday night at a ceremony unveiling the Rusty Wallace tribute car he'll pilot in Saturday night's IRWIN Tools Night Race at Bristol. "It's our challenge to find that little bit of speed and have a true understanding of all the rules it entails. It's something we're watching."

But Earnhardt still believes the best thing for Keselowski to do is to concentrate on his job behind the steering wheel.

"Brad is a really good guy," said Earnhardt. "He has a pretty good heart. He is a really great race car driver and I wish he would concentrate on that. I think he likes to talk a lot, but I think his true skills shine on the race track not really behind the microphone." CBS Sports
