McMurray confirms contract extension with Earnhardt Ganassi Racing

Jamie McMurray confirmed Saturday that he has signed a contract extension with Earnhardt Ganassi Racing for 2013.

McMurray, 36, enters the weekend 19th in the Sprint Cup standings. He said he is eager for what will be his 11th full-time Cup season. “I’m set for here," McMurray said after qualifying at Watkins Glen International. “It’s done. I haven’t really made a big deal about it. Drivers take different approaches to that.

“Some like all the publicity taking about. I don’t. … But everything is set for next year and I’m excited to be back here."
