Elliott Sadler wins Nationwide pole at Talladega

Elliott Sadler won the pole Friday for the Nationwide Series Aaron’s 312 at Talladega Superspeedway.

Starting on the outside of the front row for the race Saturday will be Sadler’s Kevin Harvick Inc. teammate Clint Bowyer. Sadler turned a lap of 179.558 mph while Bowyer went 179.373 mph – 19 mph slower than the fastest times in the draft in practice Thursday.

JR Motorsports’ Dale Earnhardt Jr. will start third with Phoenix Racing’s Jamie McMurray fourth and Roush Fenway Racing’s Trevor Bayne fifth.
