MRN Returns As GRAND-AM Radio Broadcast Partner

The Motor Racing Network (MRN) is returning as GRAND-AM's radio broadcast partner for the 2011 season, starting with a multi-faceted coverage package for next weekend's season-opening event, the Rolex 24 At Daytona.

Veteran broadcaster Eli Gold leads MRN's coverage team for the second-straight season. Gold is the longtime host of NASCAR Live on MRN in addition to being the "Voice of the Crimson Tide" for University of Alabama football radio broadcasts since 1988. Gold will be joined in the booth by Preston Root.

MRN's coverage of the Rolex 24, America's greatest sports car event being held for the 49th time on Jan. 29-30 at Daytona International Speedway, will include live coverage and periodic updates on both satellite and terrestrial radio – plus an on-line streaming element.

Four live segments are planned, including two hours of coverage at the start and finish of the event, for SIRIUS NASCAR Radio Channel 128 plus more than 60 MRN affiliates throughout North America:

· 3-5 p.m. and 8-:8:30 p.m. (ET) on Saturday, Jan. 29;
· 7-7:30 and 2-4 p.m. (ET) on Sunday, Jan. 30.

Six short updates are scheduled for the affiliates:

· 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. (ET) on Jan. 29;
· Midnight, 6 a.m., 10 a.m. and Noon (ET) on Jan. 30.

In addition, the four live broadcast segments with be streamed on motorracingnetwork.com and grand-am.com.
