New Chief Mechanic for Jensen MotorSport

Jensen MotorSport is pleased to announce that Mike Le Gallic has re-joined the team as Chief Mechanic on our Firestone Indy Lights program.

Le Gallic (30) was Chief Mechanic for Jensen MotorSport during the 2005-2007 seasons working with drivers including Tim Bridgman and Frankie Muniz in ChampCar Atlantic.

A native of Montreal Canada, Le Gallic most recently was with Richard Petty Motorsports working as a mechanic on the NASCAR Sprint Cup cars of A.J. Allmendinger and Kasey Kahne.

Prior to joining Jensen MotorSport in the 2005 season, Mike had an extremely successful career in Formula 1 working as a mechanic for the BAR Honda team and doing pit stops on the cars of F1 World Champions Jacques Villeneuve and Jenson Button.

Team owner Eric Jensen states, “It is a terrific boost to our team’s prospects for the 2011 Firestone Indy Lights Championship to have Mike re-join as a senior member of our team. Mike is meticulous with his car preparation, so our drivers David Ostella and Juan Pablo Garcia should have race cars that are extremely reliable all season."

Mike Le Gallic states, “I am very happy to be back with the Jensen MotorSport team for 2011 and beyond. There is a terrific core group of talented guys in the team, and I am sure that together we will immediately be one of the top teams in the Indy Lights series."
