Schumacher 7, Stirling Moss 0

UPDATE A reader writes, Dear AR1.com, By the end of this past season old man Schumacher was beating his younger, very highly regarded, teammate Nico Rosberg on a regular basis. If he beats him again in 2011 the anti-Schumacher British media will eat their words. And God forbid, if Schumacher wins a race or his 8th world title, jealous people like driver Stirling Moss and the rest of the British media will eat crow. It was Schumacher who destroyed F1 win and title records of British greats Jimmy Clark and Jackie Stewart, so I guess it is understandable why they try to discredit Schumacher on a weekly basis. 12/07/10 Michael Schumacher has 7, count them 7 F1 world titles. Stirling Moss has zero, count them zero. So you can imagine just how jealous Moss must be that he was never good enough to win a single world title.

Following the end of the championship, Sir Stirling Moss has given his opinion on Michael’s return to the sport he once used to command, and has classed it as ’flawed’ and claims that for the first time, Michael was partnered with a competitive teammate and he couldn’t keep up…

"The fact he was seven-time world champion ruins what being a world champion is all about," Moss was quoted as saying. "He is flawed. He was all over the place. We never saw him at his best when he had a really good driver alongside him. We never saw him in a Ferrari with a driver of similar talent really, so I think that (the number of titles) is misleading."

"I don't think he regrets coming back, but it was ill-advised. The most important contribution he had was dragging Ferrari back to the top. But the fact he is carrying on next year is interesting, although quite frankly, I wouldn't be worried if I was up against him."
