2011 Formula Renault 3.5 calendar

Organizers of Renault’s Formula Renault 3.5 series, which was won by Russian Mikhail Aleshin in Barcelona on Sunday, have revealed the dates on the 18-race calendar of 2011. Starting at Spain’s Motorland AragÂ¢n in mid-April, the season will conclude at the Circuit de Catalunya on the same October weekend next year.

The 2011 schedule also includes a return to Italy’s Monza, which was last on the calendar in 2008. Seven of the nine events will be part of Renault’s World Series package although the pairs of Monza and Monte-Carlo races support World Touring Cars and Formula 1, respectively.

Other changes include Brno’s Czech Republic round being dropped as the French event switches from Magny-Cours to Paul Ricard.
