Takuma Sato to push iRacing

IndyCar driver Takuma Sato

Interush Inc. is pleased to announce that Takuma Sato, the renowned Japanese Race Car Driver, will team-up with INTERUSH in the marketing of the iRacing.com Racing Simulations online program to Japanese race fans and aspiring race drivers throughout Asia and North America.

Takuma Sato is one of Japan's most accomplished and respected professional race car drivers who in 2010 crossed over from the International Formula One Series to drive in the IZOD IndyCar Series. Japanese race fans around the world will follow Takuma Sato's progress as he masters the unique handling characteristics and demands of the IndyCar that boasts a top speed even faster than Formula One, at an incredible 240 mph (386 kph).

Takuma Sato is expected to race in all 2010 IndyCar Events, driving the #5 KV Racing Technology entry in the 17-race schedule that includes the world famous Indy500 held this year on May 30. Fans in Japan will get to see Takuma Sato race live at the Twin Ring Motegi course on September 18.

"I am very pleased to be teaming with Interush Racing in their introduction of the very realistic iRacing.com online racing simulation," said Takuma Sato. "I know that other IndyCar drivers also use iRacing.com to study the track layouts before the races. As an IZOD IndyCar rookie, I will be using iRacing.com to get to know these tracks better, before I even get out on the actual track. Plus it's a lot of fun at the same time!"

INTERUSH, which is based in California, has been involved in NASCAR, IndyCar and Grand-Am Racing for the past four years as a team sponsor. In 2009 INTERUSH introduced the MySpeedwayRacer.com media outlet website for race fans which provides all the latest news, videos, photos, blogs, forums and tweets about the top drivers in the NASCAR, IndyCar and International Racing Series. INTERUSH recently announced that they were adapting the iRacing.com Racing Simulation program to Japanese and Chinese languages for worldwide race fans to enjoy.

"Takuma Sato is a great role model for aspiring racers," said Marty Matthews, Interush Chairman. "Takuma didn't start auto racing competitively until the age of 19, in 1996. Then just five years later, he became the British Formula Three Champion with twelve first place finishes. He also won the Marlboro Masters of F3 in Zandvoort and the prestigious Macau Grand Prix. Then Takuma went on to race in Formula One where he was 8th overall in 2004 including a very impressive third-place finish at Indianapolis, behind the winner Michael Schumacher. Takuma took-off from racing last year to spend time with his two young children and now he has crossed over to the IZOD IndyCar Series for the 2010 series. We know that Japanese race fans really admire his determination and success and will continue to follow his progress in the exciting IZOD IndyCar Series."

The iRacing.com service is open to racers and fans of all skill levels from top-level pros to complete beginners. Getting started is easy; in an hour you'll be racing. To join in the fun, go to www.iracing.com/promotions/interush/
