Ron Hornaday topped the field in qualifying for Saturday's E-Z-Go 200 at Atlanta Motor Speedway, posting a qualifying speed of 177.721 mph to score his 24th career NASCAR Camping World Truck Series pole.

Hornaday's top speed in the no. 33 Chevrolet was enough to knock Matt Crafton off the top spot. Kyle Busch then took to the track but came up short of the pole, posting a fast lap of 177.306 mph.

Crafton held onto the third qualifying spot with a speed of 177.028 mph. followed by Hornaday's truck owner Kevin Harvick (176.853 mph) and Austin Dillon (176.145 mph).

Saturday effort was Hornaday's third career pole at Atlanta, a track where he has scored just one checkered flag, back in March of 2005.
